I have found that we are spending more and more time indoors as we head into these cold winter months. So we are always trying to figure out things to get the family out of the house. With an 8 and 10 year old we spend time at the various jump parks, mainly Gravity Park and Cool Springz. We go out to dinner, friends houses, movies, and places to play games like Main Event or Dave and Busters.
But this time of the year we get to do something a little different, not so much in Albuquerque but in the Sandia Mountains...
Sledding! The kids love to get out in the snow and when I remember back to being a kid we loved to go out to the back of the mountain and spend the day sledding, then eating pizza at a restaurant with several friends. Over the past few years we have consistently had snow back there and I would recommend the drive to the ski area and sled for half a day with friends and family.
