ALBUQUERQUE – June 16, 2011 – Another great addition to Mesa Del Sol! 

Nova Corporation, a Navajo-owned defense contractor with offices in Window Rock, Albuquerque and Pennsylvania, will build a 50,000 square foot data center and office building at Mesa Del Sol. The announcement came from Mesa Del Sol officials.

The new building will feature:

  • 25,000 square-feet of data center floor for co-location and cloud initiatives
  • 20,000 square feet of multi-use space for mentoring and business incubation of Navajo students and entrepreneurs.

Initial plans are to employ between 20 and 40 people at the site.

Mesa Del Sol's first residential neighborhood expected to make homes available early 2012. The developers have broken ground on the first residential neighborhood.

With the economic downturn, plans to have residents living in 100 homes by early 2010 were delayed. The first phase of the residential project started Monday will include 250 homes. Infrastructure for those homes is expected to be done in six months.

Within the next 30 to 40 years Mesa Del Sol will be fully built and have more than 37,000 homes and 100,000 residents. 18 million square feet of stores, shops and business is expected as well.
