I moved to this location when the neighborhood was initially developed 9 years ago. What drew me to it was the close access to the freeway (within a couple minutes) and still being north of Central on the west side. It seemed to be a great value. As far as the homes themselves in the neighborhood, they are always well maintained. They all have refrigerated air (including mine) which is definitely a nice feature. The neighbors are friendly and look out for one another, but are generally reserved, so you still have that privacy factor. I also like the small neighborhood park as you drive into the community, it's well maintained great for our children and other kids. My Husband and I lived in several different new homes, on the Eastside of Albuquerque, NM. We decided to make a change to the Westside and purchased this brand new home in a new neighborhood. We loved the style of Opel Jenkins built homes, with raised and vaulted ceilings, a large amount of wood trim, a combo of gas log and/or wood burning fireplace, and 100% real all brick house. We chose this location because it is very centrally located, close to shopping & I40. Our church & Dr. office are both right across the street. The neighborhood is very safe & quiet, the neighbors really look out for each other. Because it's a gated community, we feel very safe from people that may be watching your patterns.
There is a community park right outside our door that is maintained by the HOA & there is rarely anyone there! We got an inflatable pool for our grandchildren & put it in the park, perfect! It's like it's our own yard, but we don't have to maintain it! It was a great location to teach our grandchildren to ride their bikes because there is very little traffic.
