I moved to this location when the neighborhood was initially developed 9 years ago. What drew me to it was the close access to the freeway (within a couple minutes) and still being north of Central on the west side. It seemed to be a great value. As far as the homes themselves in the neighborhood, they are always well maintained. They all have refrigerated air (including mine) which is definitely a nice feature. The neighbors are friendly and look out for one another, but are generally reserved, so you still have that privacy factor. I also like the small neighborhood park as you drive into the community, it's well maintained great for our children and other kids. There is a middle school within walking distance which is very convenient for parents/kids.…

Foreclosures are a hot market for investors and buyers. To get the best deal possible, follow these tips:Forclosure

1. Timing is everything. Borrowers often are given a chance to avoid foreclosure with a grace period, typically two to three months, to pay off the amount they owe. The borrower may opt to sell the property during this preforeclosure stage if they can’t make up their missed mortgage payments. This is typically the best time to strike a deal, as home owners are looking for ways to avoid foreclosure. Another prime time to buy: prior to an auction date.

2. Look in the right places. Follow the foreclosure trail. NMWelcomeHome Real Estate Team, Title companies, banks, purchase money, escrow offices, and credit unions can be good sources to find out…

What attracted us to this beautiful house and this neighborhood was that it is in a good school district, close to shopping, movie theater, the neighborhood is quiet and somewhat secluded. I love that our neighbors help each other and watch out for each others houses and for strange people in the neighborhood.

The front yard is just about no maintenance more for looks. The backyard has a nice patio and shaded area allowing for entertaining and relaxing in the morning with coffee and in the evening with family. I enjoy maintaining our small garden in the summers and sitting around a fire in the winters.

I love the fact that our house has so much natural light, wood beams, large windows and tall doorways. The open kitchen and living room are so nice I…

I can’t say enough about living in this home and the Northern Meadows subdivision. We bought this home once we retired from the Military and relocated to NM after accepting a new civilian position and are now being transferred to Oregon.

This is the perfect house to raise kids as well as entertain. We have upgraded it with high end appliances, energy saving items as well as a complete kid and adult friendly “extra Large/low maintenance backyard” for fun and entertainment. The tile upgrades make you feel as if you are living in luxury and the views are wonderful! Sitting on the front porch drinking coffee in the morning or in the bonus room watching the sunrise behind the Sandia Mountains while balloons pass over the house.  On the 4th of July we get to…

My Husband and I lived in several different new homes, on the Eastside of Albuquerque, NM. We decided to make a change to the Westside and purchased this brand new home in a new neighborhood. We loved the style of Opel Jenkins built homes, with raised and vaulted ceilings, a large amount of wood trim, a combo of gas log and/or wood burning fireplace, and 100% real all brick house. Also, even though this is single level home it sits up high for privacy. Our home was pre-wired for alarm system and sensor detection (but we never felt the need to activate it). At the time of the move, we added a concrete side walk from the front of our home to the back, and at the same time enlarged the back patio. We spent lots of time in the quiet and serenity of our back…
